Simple Yacon Diet Plan

A diet doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice taste. Here is a list of really low calorie ingredients that you can use to help add flavors to your meals so you don’t have to feel like your missing out. You will see examples of this in the following yacon recipes.

Yacon Breakfast Plan

*Take 1 tsp of organic yacon syrup before you eat!

  • 1 cup cooked oatmeal
  • 1 Tbs chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup berries
  • 1 cup fat-free milk


  • 1 Whole-grain English muffin
  • 1 Tbs peanut butter
  • 1 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup diced fruit


Yacon Lunch Plan

*Take 1 tsp of organic yacon syrup before you eat!

  • 1 bowl of low calorie soup (up to 120 Calories)
  • 3 cups mixed salad (Any type)
  • 1 Tbs cheese (Shredded)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Add seasoning spices and vinegar to taste


  • 3 oz chicken or tuna
  • 2 tsp of mayo or Tbs of humus
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • sliced vegetables (as many as you like)


Yacon Dinner Plan

  • 4 oz lean steak
  • 1 Tbs steak sauce
  • 1/2 baked sweet potato
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Unlimited green veggies


  • 4 oz shrimp, chicken or Tofu
  • 2 cups of mixed veggies stir-fried in 2 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 Tsp low sodium soya sauce
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • Add seasoning spices and vinegar to taste


Yacon Salad Dressing


In a bowel whisk together the following,

  • 1 tsp yacon syrup
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground pepper

This is great an any salad but I prefer the dark leafy greens
